Definition of the word still

A still is an apparatus used to distill miscible or immiscible (e.g. steam distillation) liquid mixtures by heating to selectively boil and then cooling to condense the vapor. A still uses the same concepts as any chemistry lab distillation apparatus, but on a much larger scale. Stills have been used to produce perfume and medicine, Water for Injection (WFI) for pharmaceutical use, generally to separate and purify different chemicals, and most famously, to produce distilled beverages containing ethyl alcohol.

''Still'' is a compilation album by Joy Division, consisting of previously released and unreleased studio material and a live recording of Joy Division's last concert, performed at Birmingham University. It was released on 8 October 1981, through record label Factory.

'' Adventure Time'' is an American animated television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada), a human boy, and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake (voiced by John DiMaggio), a dog with magical powers to change shape and grow and shrink at will. Finn and Jake live in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. Along the way, they interact with the show's other main characters: Princess Bubblegum (voiced by Hynden Walch), the Ice King (voiced by Tom Kenny), and Marceline the Vampire Queen (voiced by Olivia Olson).
The show originally began in 2007 with a pilot, which was later re-aired on the incubator series '' Random! Cartoons'' on Nicktoons Network. After Nickelodeon declined to turn the short into a full-fledged show, Cartoon Network purchased the rights, and ''Adventure Time'' launched as a series on April 5, 2010. ''Still Mine'' is a 2013 Canadian romantic drama film. Under the title ''Still'', the film had a limited release at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival; it had a general release on May 3, 2013. Written and directed by Michael McGowan and was based on a true story, the film stars James Cromwell as Craig Morrison, a farmer in rural St. Martins, New Brunswick who battles a government bureaucrat ( Jonathan Potts) for the right to build a new house for his ailing wife Irene ( Geneviève Bujold) when their existing home no longer suits her health needs. Cromwell won the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role.

Benjamin Stillingfleet (1702–1771) was a botanist, translator and author. He is said to be the first Blue Stocking, a phrase from which is derived the term bluestocking now used to describe a learned woman. His grandfather, a Bishop, had died in 1699, but left no money to Benjamin's father as he disapproved of his father's opinions and his marriage to his mother. He was educated at Norwich School before obtaining a B.A. at Trinity College, Cambridge in 1723. He failed to become a Fellow as he was thought too much of a gentleman. He served as a tutor to bring in income. He was tutor to his relative William Windham at Felbrigg Hall and he taught him from the age of seven to twenty. He then set out to accompany William Windham on the Grand Tour returning several years later in 1742. Whilst in Switzerland they had organised over several winters a set of pantomimes using other "tourists" as cast helpers and audience. Stillingfleet was in charge of the music and the scenery. This group was known as the "Common Room". During the summers the same group would set out on scientific explorations finding the undocumented glaciers of the Alps.
